I know this is kind of old news.  Not that it will ever be old to me.... UNRANKED ARKANSAS BEAT #1 LSU!!!!!!
WOO PIG SOOIE!!!!!!
I knew they could do it.  I had faith in them the WHOLE time, and eventually dragged the rest of my family into believing too.  That's why we were ALL pulling our hair out, screaming, and jumping around the living room by the time it went into over-time!  That's when your heart sinks, and you have a ton of nervous energy!  You're thinking that they've played such a good game that they have to win now!  But they didn't hear us, so they decided to take it to a 3rd over-time.  In the 3rd over-time you have to go for a 2-point conversion after your touchdown instead of just a field goal.  FELIX JONES rushed ours right up the gut for 2!!  Then LSU got a touchdown, so they were going for their 2-point conversion when..................

MATTERRAL RICHARDSON clinched the game by INTERCEPTING the ball in the end zone!!!  That's when the house really exploded with joy, screaming, yelling, jumping.......for a LONG time.  And this is what we got for it!

Ah yes, "THE BOOT" finally returns to its rightful location after 5 long years!  Back to the game....One of the worst moments was in the first overtime with 4th and 10!  When Arkansas gets 3rd and 10 they usually end up punting the next down.  But Casey Dick converted with a 12 yard pass!  Or should I say Peyton Hillis caught it..... Dick actually played a very nice game!  He seems to get better every game, so maybe by the time next season rolls around......sigh (especially if D-Mac and Jones are gone).  Dick actually gets blamed for a lot more than he should.  The stats only show how many incompletions, not why they were incomplete.  A lot of times he throws a perfect ball, but the receiver drops it!  So while everyone is going around tearing down Dick, it's actually the receivers that are the problem!

                THE STATS

Casey Dick
- 10-18 for 94 yards and one touchdown!  But the highlight of the game came when

That's Dick blocking!  McFadden couldn't have gotten his 73 yard touchdown if not for Dick!  Go to www.5darrenmcfadden.com and watch the LSU highlights at 1:28.  Isaac and I watched this over and over, it's great!  Notice how McFadden points back and then WHAM frome the QB!

Darren McFadden- Rushing-206 yards and 3 touchdowns with a long of 73 (thanks to Dick)!
Passing-3-6 for 34 yards and one touchdown (to Hillis)!

Peyton Hillis
- Rushing-89 yards and 2 touchdowns with a long of 65!
Receiving-5 catches for 62 yards and 2 touchdowns (one from D-Mac)!

Those were the 3 stars of the game, but everybody did their part of course!  Actually the Defense gets A LOT of credit!  They held them from scoring so many times, and in the first half they're the ones that kept us in the game!  In the end the score was 52-50, a very good game in all.

News-Houston Nutt has left Arkansas, thanks to angry fans.  How they could be angry after a win over LSU?  Well, the damage had already been done.  Less than 24-hours after resigning, he already had a job with Ole Miss (he obviously knew where he was going).  Hopefully we'll get someone good to replace him, but in the meantime our defensive coordinator, Regie herring, will be coaching our bowl game.

Bowl Game
-The Cotton Bowl Jan. 1 against Missouri!

NEXT POST-The BCS is as messed up as it gets....

So last Thursday we started our long trip down to Texas to pick up Isaac!  OK so actually it wasn't long, it's only long for normal people, but Goffs-normal.............NEVER.  5 of us left our house on Thursday, we went all the way up to 9, and we came back with 7 (weird huh?).  It was awesome because my WHOLE family was together for a little under 48 hours!  That usually only happens two times a year anymore.
We left our house at 7:45 Thursday morning and arrived at our first stop (Bob Jones University) at 3:15.  I drove all but one hour of that, because my mom was so tired, so she slept in the back.  When we arrived, Sarah was still in class dissecting cats, but when she saw us she asked her professor if her family could come watch.  So we all walked in and watched her dissect her cat while everyone was staring.  Then at the end her professor came over and asked if we were home schooled.........WE JUST WANTED TO SEE THE CATS!!!!  We left Bob Jones at 6:30 and arrived in Atlanta (to pick up my dad who was on TDY) at 8:45ish.  Ya, I said we arrived in Atlanta, not at my dad.  See, we had a little problem, we could see the hotel, we were driving all around it, but we couldn't get to it!  Don't blame me, I wasn't driving at this time!  We kept calling my dad back and, long story short, after almost 30 minutes of staring at his hotel, driving all around it, almost getting crushed by a plane, driving into a deserted parking lot with barbed wire and ex-convicts............maybe a little dramatic but.......we finally got to him!  So, we finally got out of Atlanta at 10ish.  I was driving, and everyone else went to sleep.  I drove until 1:23, and then someone else took over.  Thus started our driving rotation.  GOAL: Drive for as long as you can (until your eyes are so on fire that the cars are blury), then you wake up the others and see who is the least tired.  By the end people are only driving for like an hour or less, because they can't keep themselves awake (it's kind of difficult to really get any good sleep in the van).  But we managed to get to Big Sandy, Texas by 9 (we love time changes in our favor)!
We were in our room getting ready for the graduation when there was a knock on our door.  We thought it was our mom and dad because they had gone to wal-mart.  But when we opened it, it was Jonathan!  So, yes, we were one big happy family again.  Then we went to the graduation, skills demonstration, and banquet.  Lots of fun.  The next day was Jonathan's 22nd birthday (scary)!  So after touring the campus, we left at like 11:00, and then stopped in Shreveport for birthday lunch.  We drove all the way to Tuscaloosa (decided not to drive through the night this time) and tried to find a hotel.  One problem, it was a Saturday night in Tuscaloosa, there's a football stadium there......Yes, the crimson tide were playing (lost) and we had to go to like six hotels before we found a room.  Anyway, we finally found a room and were able to catch the end of the Kansas game (NC bound, WOOHOO!) and re-live the fall of Ohio State (oh, yeah)!
The next day we had to get up at 5:00 in order to get Jonathan to Atlanta on time for his flight back to Chicago.  Then we dropped Sarah off at Bob Jones.  And we were finally on the last leg of our journey.  All in all, it was a fun weekend.  And it's great to have Isaac back again!

So, I'm wondering if anyone even reads this anymore.....not that it's that exciting, but is facebook really that much better?
Random Facts:  I got my Drivers license.  The razorbacks are 3-2.  I don't have any speeches yet.  The Colts are 5-0.  It doesn't feel like October, because it's not cold.  I got braces.  My soccer team is 3-1.  The Redskins stink........  I can now floss my teeth in only eleven minutes (thanks to braces).
The Razorbacks play Auburn tomorrow.......Let's just say D-fense, D-Mac, D-fense, D-Mac!!!  Ok, I know it's not totally up to them, but that'd be a great start.  Arkansas needs to start winning to help D-Mac's Heisman hopes.  Because even though he is by far, hands down, no questions asked, the best offensive football player, some people might not like the fact that his team isn't winning.  Even if he doesn't get the Heisman, he'll always be one of the best players ever, and a true razorback!!!! (unlike Mitch, Ben, Gus........)
Now I'm really starting to wonder if anybody reads this......

Well, my hogs are 1-2........*sigh*  I'm not even going to tell you about the games.  Actually, the one against Alabama was a very exciting game!  We just, unfortunately, didn't come out on top.  We were ahead until the last 8 seconds!
On a happier note:  The US has advanced to the semi-finals of the World Cup!  They play Brazil next.
Sports, you got to love 'em!
